Preschool
The following classes and activities are geared towards preschool children, aged 6 Months - 5 years.
Aquatics Parent-Child Classes
Shrimps (formerly Tag-Along) and Perch are parent-child classes for children ages 6 months to 36 months. Parents attend class with their child and join in all the activities. Lessons focus on water adjustment, safety skills for both the parent and child, and the fundamentals of swimming.
Shrimps
Water enrichment activities for one adult and child promote fun, water adjustment, exercise, boating and water safety. Songs, games and activities are used to promote confidence and independence and teach pre-swimming skills. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Perch
Not ready for preschool lessons? This class is for children who are not yet 3-1/2, but are comfortable in the water, or for those who are old enough, but not confident enough to swim without a trusted adult. This class promotes independence, cooperation, confidence and swimming readiness. The instructor gradually takes over while the adult takes a secondary role, in preparation for preschool lessons.

Aquatics Child Only Classes
PERS (Pike, Eel, Ray/Starfish) classes are for children ages 3 to 5 years old. PERS lessons build on Shrimp and Perch skills and also include stroke development, rescue skills, water sports and games, and moving the child toward independence in the water. Lesson groups are determined by the swimmer’s ability and age. Teacher:Student ratios are 6:1 for all classes except Extra Special classes which are 3:1. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Pike
Beginner - child will not put face in water and cannot float independently. This beginner course requires no previous experience in swimming. Children are introduced to paddle stroke on the front, back and sides.

Extra Special Pike

Eel
Advanced beginner - child can jump in the water and return to the side independently. In this level, they will become more independent, learning to swim longer distances.

Ray/Starfish
Intermediate/Advanced - child can swim the width and length of the pool on their front and back. At this level, new skills include rhythmic breathing and diving.

New! Special Needs Swim Lessons
For children 3-8 years of age with a parent or aide, with neurological, physical, or social challenges. This is a beginner swim program that focuses on introducing swimming readiness skills through song and games, developing a personal comfort level in the water and coordinating basic movements. Gym & Swim
Children will have fun developing physical, mental and social skills in a non-competitive atmosphere. Pike and Eel swimming skills are taught, as well as water and boating safety. Wear a swimsuit under comfortable clothing to the gym. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Private Swim Lessons
Private swim lessons are available in a package of seven 30-minute lessons.
SPORTS
Wee Super Sports
Your child will be introduced to several sports and physical education games that will prepare them for school physical education programs and organized sports. They will learn the basic rules, teamwork and sportsmanship. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Mighty Mites
Bring out your child’s personality through creative play activities designed for one adult and child. A variety of games and songs are used to enhance motor, mental and social development. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Little Kickers
Start your child out with a fun introduction to the most popular sport in the world! This program is designed to introduce preschoolers to the fundamentals and rules of soccer. Little Dribblers Basketball
This class is basic introduction to the sport of basketball that will enchance motor and social development. Your child will learn to dribble, pass and shoot through fun games, activities and drills. They will develop coordination and balance in a non-competitive and safe environment. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Super Sports Camps
Join this mini camp over the holiday break. Your child will learn skills in indoor

TUMBLING & DANCE
Mom, Dad & Bee
An introductory follow-along class that develops character, confidence and coordination with the help of Mom and/or Dad. This fun introduction of basic gymnastic practices is designed to increase strength, balance and body/space awareness. Instructors will focus on repitition and recognition of improvement. Tumble Bees (Level 1 Tumbling)
Improve your preschool child’s confidence, balance and coordination while learning basic tumbling skills. An introduction to our gymnastics program, instructors recommend preschoolers attend this class before any other gymnastic classes. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Honey Bees (Level 2 Tumbling)
The first step of our Elementary Gymnastics Program focuses on repetition, terminology and body awareness. Participants learn basic tumbling skills like somersaults, beginning cartwheels and animal walks. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Stingers (Level 3 Tumbling)
This Advanced Elementary Gymnastics class focuses on skills like bridges and full cartwheels. Participants are recommended to take Tumble Bees and Honey Bees before Stingers. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Dragonflies (Level 1 Dance)
A dance class designed for beginners. Participants learn basic ballet, jazz, and tap dance skills as well as a simple routine. A great class for children that love to dance! Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Click here for schedule: Pre1.09
Butterflies (Level 2 Dance)

Parent Plus 1 Preschool Yoga
Yoga for kids is a time for building strength, concentration and imagination. Teaching children to calm and connect to their centers enhances contentment, emotional balance and love.
