Preventing the Spread of COVID-19

At the Two Rivers YMCA we take your health and the safety of our community very seriously. We are adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Governor in the Restore Illinois Plan.

In alignment with the State of Illinois's Phase 4, the Y is currently operating in Phase 2 of its own Reopening Plan as of June 26th, 2020.

Phase 4
As of January 25, 2021 our region of the State (Region 2) has successfully moved out of Tier 1 Mitigation down to base level Phase 4. Please see recent changes to our prevention procedures as noted with "UPDATE"

Details from the state can be found here: https://www.dph.illinois.gov/regionmetrics?regionID=2
Please note: If COVID positivity rates increase in Region 2 the state may require face coverings for all activities again.

Have peace of mind knowing every precaution is in place to keep you and your family safe and healthy while at our Y.

The Y is for #youthdevelopment #healthyliving and #socialresponsibility

While in Phase 4 (which is the current phase Illinois is in) "Ancillary accommodations (e.g., saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms) should be closed" as per https://dceocovid19resources.com/assets/Restore-Illinois/businessguidelines4/healthandfitness.pdf

Phase 5 (which is the end of all restrictions) would be when the saunas, steam rooms, and whirlpools can reopen.

HOW WE MOVE TO THE PHASE 5
Post-pandemic: Vaccine, effective and widely available treatment, or the elimination of new cases over a sustained period of time through herd immunity or other factors.
