Les Mills HIIT SPRINT: Sprint is a 30-minute High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, using an indoor bike to achieve fast results allowing your body to burn calories for hours even after the workout is finished. It's a short, intense style of training where the thrill and motivation comes from pushing your physical and mental limits.

Les Mills HIIT GRIT: Grit is 30 minutes of high intensity interval training (HIIT), that delivers transformative results through three different formats, Strength, Cardio, and Athletic, of course not at the same time. GRIT | Strength is designed to improve strength, cardio fitness and lean muscles. GRIT | Athletic is a sports conditioning workout. It's designed to help you perform like an athlete-hence the name! GRIT | Cardio focuses on cardiovascular fitness. It maximises calorie burning, increases speed and boosts fitness like nothing else. Each format smashes your fitness goals! Since HIIT Grit changes between cardio, strength, and athletic formats, please ask the instructor what equipment is needed when entering class.

The question is what isn't great about HIIT! There are so many benefits of HIIT! Overall, HIIT produces many of the same health benefits as other forms of exercise, but in a shorter amount of time. These benefits include lowering body fat, resting heart rate, and blood pressure. HIIT can burn a ton of calories in a short amount of time and your metabolic rate is higher for hours even after exercising. HIIT can also improve oxygen consumption and muscle gain happens as well! This sounds like an overall win!
First time? Cool! In every 30 minute class expect a period of work followed by a period of rest, repeated across multiple sets with different moves and sweet music for the duration of your workout. Remember, there is a modification for every exercise! You can do it!
When you join the challenge, you'll have access to our private group which is where Steffani will post videos about the HIIT classes here at the Y and what to expect in the classes!
