Volunteer at the Two Rivers YMCA

When you volunteer at the Y, you take an active role in bringing about meaningful, enduring change right in your own neighborhood.

Each of our volunteers helps deliver the benefits of good health, strong connections, greater self-confidence and a sense of security to all who seek it.

The Two Rivers YMCA is looking for AmeriCorps candidates to work within our before and after school sites. The majority of the work will be providing enrichment activities in STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) and literacy. Click here to view full job description.

AmeriCorps Volunteers receive:

  • A $5,500 stipend (spread over service time – approx. $500/month paid by WIU/WQPT)
  • A $2,865 educational award paid at the completion of service. (IF the AmeriCorps volunteer is over age 55 – they can “transfer” the award to a child or grandchild.)
  • Numerous training and networking opportunities

As the educational award indicates, this is not just for young adults, but for anyone of any age that may be interested. Positions are available immediately.
To apply, please complete a volunteer application and return to Christy Filby at the Two Rivers YMCA (2040 53rd St., Moline IL) or at cfilby@ymcatr.org
