Thanks to generous donors, the Two Rivers YMCA is taking 8 Youth Leaders to YMCA175, a youth leadership conference in London - all expenses paid!

Out of 50 applications the following 8 students stood out as emerging leaders and were chosen to become delegates that will go with us to London to discuss social economic issues that our communities are facing today.

Attend one of their fundraising events:
Car Wash, Saturday,  July 27th from 1-4pm, in the parking lot of the Spirit, Mind, & Body Center
Panera Fundraiser, Friday, August 2nd from 4-8pm, at the Moline Panera 


  • 16-22 years old
  • Illinois QC area high school current student or alumnus attending a QC area college
  • Willing to serve as a YMCA youth leader in Youth & Government*, Youth Leadership Council**, or other YMCA volunteer position

*Youth & Government: As a part of the nationwide Youth & Government program affiliated with the YMCA of the USA, it is our mission to provide the youth of Illinois with an immersive educational and fun experience to inspire and promote life-long leadership, ethis, responsible citizenship, and self-confidence through participation in a unique model state government program. As a student in this program, you will assume roles of the following: legislators, attorneys, executive officials, lobbyists, or press members.

**Youth Leadership Council: Creating the next generation of leaders, this program provides youth with extensive leadership training and volunteer opportunities that support YMCA programs and services to the community. In addition to teaching leadership through service, YLC advisers introduce youth to all the work the Y does to strengthen community and inspire and prepare teens to become future leaders.
