JEANNIE AMYETTE
Aquatics Director
Jeannie oversees the Aquatics Department which includes water aerobics, lap swim, private swim lessons, children swim lessons, adult swim lessons and many other activities.
Jeannie began her career with the Y in December 2020 opening the new Aquatic Center in Davenport and joined the Two Rivers YMCA team in the summer of 2021. Previously she worked in aquatics for over 20 years at Black Hawk College, mostly as the aquatic director. Jeannie has her Lifeguard Instructor and WSI Swim Instructor certification.
Her main mission is that every child has the opportunity to learn to swim and every adult loves the water as much as she does. Jeannie is very excited to be back on the Illinois side of the river where she sees many people she knows here at the Y in Moline. Jeannie is passionate about everything that involves water; come and see her at the pool! In her spare time she enjoys gardening, hiking, yoga, church and her four adult children.
