Meet Brianna Wash. She is one of our Preschool Teachers with the 4 year olds, and we asked her a few questions!
What is your favorite part about working with Y kiddos?
"My favorite part is knowing every day when I walk into my classroom no matter what kind of day I was having before, these kids will put a smile on my face and vice versa."
What does the Y mean to you?
"To me the Y means opportunities. Ever since I became an employee of the Y I’ve been educated on several opportunities. I was able to take training classes, CDA classes, and more."
What is your teaching philosophy?
"I believe the classroom is similar to a living community. Everyone from the directors/principals, to the students, to the parents must contribute in order to maintain a positive atmosphere."
What is your favorite teaching moment?
"My favorite teaching moments would have to be when my teachers-aid and I come up with creative things like puffy paints and all the kids get to help be hands on and everyone is interested and engaged in the project."
