A Journey To Strength

Tika Gomez, a member at the Two Rivers Y, shares her journey working with Ashley Fawks, one of our personal trainers.

“After having two consecutive C-sections (thirteen months apart), I noticed that I didn't have the core strength that I had before, even after a thirteen-year recovery. I decided to work with a trainer because I wanted to strengthen my core, but I didn't have the motivation or the will to do it on my own. I've worked with a couple of other trainers, but they didn't seem as knowledgeable, motivating, attentive and easy-going as working with [Ashley]. I've noticeably gained strength in my core and core work doesn't seem as painful as it once was because of the motivation and careful planning of Ashley's workouts. Looking forward to working with her in the future.”
