Two Rivers YMCA’S Official Statement on COVID-19

Valued Members and Families,

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have been navigating the evolving public health crisis caused by COVID-19. Our goal has continued to be serving our members for as long as possible in a safe and healthy way as facts and governmental recommendations continued to be released.

Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, on March 20, Governor Pritzker issued a Shelter at Home Order for the State of Illinois. This required the YMCA to suspend all health and wellness services through April 7th, 2020. We sincerely look forward to seeing our members and families again after this order is lifted.

After a short and temporary suspension of our Childcare programs while our facilities were deep cleaned and disinfected to minimalize any potential exposure moving forward, we will be reopening our School's Out childcare program for ages 5-12 starting March 26.

Our staff are currently evaluating every opportunity to continue serving our community as a cause-driven organization. The YMCA is a community benefit nonprofit organization and your membership and program fees are the foundation of our work. This pandemic will no doubt have a financial impact on many in our community, including the YMCA.

We respectfully ask that you partner with us in supporting Two Rivers YMCA through the continuation of your membership and program fees during this interruption of service if you are able. We are confident that when we reopen you will find as much satisfaction in our programs and facilities as you already have. If you are unable to continue, Member Services staff will be available by phone Monday - Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and will gladly speak with you about other options.

We continue to be here for the Quad Cities and encourage both facility and community members to call us.

With respect,

Two Rivers YMCA
