Michelle Heberling  

Community Relations Director

Michelle began her work as the Community Relations Director for the Two Rivers YMCA in 2024. She works to ensure a smooth flow of communication between our CEO, board volunteers and the general public. Her role has heavy focus on relationship cultivation and coordination of our fundraising efforts.

Michelle earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Western Illinois University in 2003. Her professional roots began in Muscatine with Family Resources, Inc and then in 2012 she purchased a large salon and began a decade long adventure as a small business and commercial property owner. As her life transitioned to the Quad Cities, she sold her business and began working for another non-profit as a strategic partnership specialist before finding this great opportunity with Two Rivers. Michelle feels passionately about supporting local businesses, fostering community engagement and giving back. She enjoys being a QC Chamber Ambassador and is a proud member of Power of 100+ Women in the QCA.

Two Rivers YMCA has been an important part of her and her family’s lives for many years. When she is not at the Y for either work or play, she is cheering on her 3 kids in their many activities. Michelle also loves to cook and enjoys staying active by golfing, biking, hiking and traveling with her husband.
